Meet The Artists
Meet here Mr. Om Prakash Galav proprietor, Ramgarh Clay Pottery and our other artists.
Om Prakash Galav
I have inherited the art of pottery making from my ancestors as a part of our family business. Since childhood I have grown up by playing with clay and giving them various shapes. As days passed my father has taught me the basics of this art, initially it took me a lot of patience and commitment to understand and learned techniques. My father Late Shri Fateh Ram Prajapat who himself was the master Craftsperson and State Merit Awardee had worked really hard to make me understand the intricacies of this art and trade. Gradually I horn my skills in this field with never ending dedication and love for the work. This art not only help me to earn my livelihood but also gives me an edge to curve out my imaginations and emotions in vivid shapes and sizes.
In my early struggle days I have also supported and applauded by Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jaipur, District Industry Centre Alwar and other Govt and private bodies. I also did efforts for poor and unskilled people to give them training with the cooperation of several Govt and NGO’s for their better livelihood.
I am thoroughly dedicated for the development of this art and putting all my efforts to carry it to new heights.
Anil Kumar Prajapat
This elegant art passed on me through my father Late Shri Fateh Ram Prajapat. After completed my high school i began to learn this art from my father, mother and my elder brother parallel to my grads. As i am a handicap person though i never let it to come in between my path and this has made me a fine artist of this art. My patients and dedication brought me to success when i got the first award of my life the “State Merit Award” by RAJSICO, Govt of Rajasthan in 2010.
After my father’s early decease my elder brother guided me well in terms of art and personal development. I am a specialist with the cut work and all kind of throwing.
This art is in my blood so I am willing to carry forward my father’s inheritance through my children.
If we talk about inheritance then it poured on me like honey by my respected parents and dearest elder brothers. Since my high school i have been learning this art form from all of them. Being a fast, good and managed learner is my strongest advantage that gives me almost every way to learn. That’s makes me a very fine versatile artist with uniqueness of my subjects of work and this all come true with the guidance of my elder brothers and to crown it all I’ve also got the far better ability to manage stuff with my work.
I am looking forward to continue this art form of my reputed clan with my younger brothers and children.
